Ipswitch Poll Shows Almost Two Thirds of Businesses Waste Money Through Not Managing Application Use Correctly

Only 40% Monitor Application Use and Re-Deploy Assets Around the Business

LEXINGTON, Mass. ─ September 14, 2011 ─ Ipswitch Inc.’s Network Management Division, developer of the WhatsUp Gold suite of innovative IT management solutions, today the results of a poll of some of its 100,000 customers on application use and redeployment. Of those surveyed, 35.9% did not monitor application use at all and a further quarter did not think to re-deploy underused applications around the business.


Full results to the question “Is your organisation managing or monitoring application use and re-deploying them?” were:

  • No – 35.9%
  • We do monitor use, but do not currently re-deploy applications – 24.5%
  • Yes – 39.6%
